Traditionally, women have been the leading force in volunteer work. It is the woman who sees a need and then finds a way to fill it. This is true today; many charities are fueled vastly by women. Every year each local MOMS Club® chapter performs at least one service project to help children.
Our chapter participates in the Great American Bake Sale, sponsored by Save Our Strength, every year. Share Our Strength's Great American Bake Sale is a national campaign where participants host their own bake sale anywhere in the U.S. and send their proceeds to Share Our Strength to help organizations in their community end childhood hunger.
We also participate in other areas of service work. We try to do a different project every month. This is what we have planned for the 2007-2008 year:
| November | Thanksgiving Basket Drive for Olney Help |
| December | Help decorate Friends House Assisted Living for the holidays |
| January | Box Tops for Education |
| February | Make non-perishable food packets for the Homeless |
| March | Serve at a Soup Kitchen |
| April | TB&C Drive (Towel, Blanket & Cardboard Toilet Paper Roll) for MC Humane Society |
| May | Great American Bake Sale for Save our Strength |
| June | Fundraiser BBQ for KABOOM |
